It is with sincere appreciation that we extend our thanks to Midland’s 100 Club. This Club was founded on the principles of simplicity, philanthropy, and volunteerism. This amazing group of more than 600 women collectively provides acts of quiet generosity. Their recent selection of Safe & Sound Child Advocacy Center to receive a financial gift makes a profound difference in the safety of our community children and families.
The support of the 100 Club not only extends community awareness of the work we do at the Center, it also provides a gift of support funding to serve children in investigating suspected child abuse-sexual, strong physical, or witness to crime- through the use of a Multidisciplinary Team approach. This team approach sensitively helps children in sharing their lived experience in a trauma informed, non-judgmental, child focused safe space. The gift of funding from the 100 Club directly impacts Midland County kids through the work done through the Safe & Sound Child Advocacy Center.
This funding will help support Forensic Interviews as a protocol driven guided conversation with suspected victims of abuse. This funding will also expand our ability to provide resources to families in need. This list includes but is not limited to gas cards, vouchers for public transportation, food and grocery gift cards, and much needed items for infants such as formula and diapers, and dental products designed especially for young children. This gift will additionally expand the Child Car Seat Safety Program, Safe Sleep Initiatives, Child Abuse Prevention Programs conducted in Midland Public Schools, and Darkness to Light Training for parents and professionals.
